The classic car market has been down the last few years and remained flat for 2025 except for the most top end automobiles. But 2026 has started off with a bang from the January auctions.

RM Sotheby’s Arizona $63 million in sales with a 94% sell thru compared to 2025 sales of $31 million and sell thru of 95%.

Mecum Kissimmi had total sales of $441 million compared to $215 million in 2025. A big part of this total was the very rare 1962 Ferrari 250GTO Bianco Speciale which sold for over $38 million.

Only time will tell if these type of numbers hold up thru the year or if the rest of the collector car world will see a significant value increase.
